Anne is an influential leader in criminal justice and community-driven problem-solving.
Anne has over 30 years of experience in criminal and collaborative justice and in the development and implementation of public safety policy. Anne started her career as a deputy district attorney trying cases in the criminal and juvenile courts and she later served as a community based city prosecutor in South LA. Anne has worked at the highest levels of city and county government—director of LA’s innovative gang reduction and youth development program, chief legal counsel to the mayor of LA, and a senior policy advisor in the nation’s largest sheriff’s department.
Anne’s passion for community building was sparked early - as a high school exchange student living in a seaside Turkish village, where her eyes were opened to the wider world. After her formative experience of living abroad, Anne emerged as a resourceful, skilled communicator with a deep understanding of how culture and place shape our communities.
Anne is a catalyst for change, turning vision into action. She believes that by forging strong partnerships, leading with bold, creative strategies, and elevating community voices, we build safe and thriving communities.
