OUR WEDDING PARTY
Matron of Honor
Cameron and I go back nearly 27 years. We met in preschool and ended up being next door neighbors up until high school. Cameron has always been the person I can count on, which is harder and harder to find in people these days. Her relentless effort to maintain a friendship at all odds is what makes Cameron one of my best friends... I only wish she lived closer. FaceTime wine nights will have to suffice. I had the privilege to stand next to her at her wedding and now she'll be standing next to me at mine.
Bridesmaid & Cousin
Nicha is a cousin, a role model and a best friend. Being 2 years older than me I always looked up to her...and tried to be just like her. We grew up to be very different people, but with similar values and we both know how to party...must be a Tabrizi thing. I had the privilege to stand next to Nicha at her wedding day and I'm so happy you'll be next to me at mine.
Bridesmaid & Sister
Rachel is the reason I love rock 'n' roll, so really I can attribute a part of my relationship to Ashton with her. Thank you for turning me off from Boys to Men and on to Zeppelin, Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie and so much more. And thank you for always being my best friend when I didn't fit in as a teenager, driving me to dates so mom and dad wouldn't and introducing me to Popov (wait, maybe I shouldn't be thanking you for that?)
Bridesmaid & Sister
Felicia, now that I've chosen you to be my bridesmaid means I get to make you do my favorite impressions any time I want...just kidding. Felicia is always the one to make everyone laugh and tells great stories. There's sooo much to reflect on but one memory I'll never forget is the experience we had when we got to open Tabrizi Productions up together with her art. It was an awesome week of art, bonding and clean up and I'm glad you were right by my side and now I get to have you by my side on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid & Sister
Lil' F, Mini-Me...my baby sister. Fareen and I were identical as babies, but have grown up to be 2 very different people. She is creative, outspoken and has a great sense of humor. Being all the way down in LA it can be challenge for us to see each other often, but I look forward to spending more time together with all the events leading up to the big day! Love you Mooshie Face!
I met Jen back in my SF days and it was the breakup with our ex's that brought us closer together. We rebounded into many fun nights dancing, partying and frequenting the local hookah lounge. When we weren't in the city we were off traveling the world together. From Australia, France, Spain, Colombia, Peru, Texas, Arizona and I'm sure I've missed some we've made some incredible memories that I will cherish forever. It's hard to find a good travel buddy in life, Jen I'm glad it was you! Looking forward to tearing up NOLA with you!
Technically one of my oldest friends in San Jose. I met Doug in 2005 at a Happy Hour for my friend Noah who was leaving Intel (who was consequently the guy who recruited me there). Naturally, at the end of happy hour we were the only 2 left, talking adventure and needing more beer. Since then we've been around the world together, from tropical beaches to icy mountains and everything in between. I even officiated his wedding...in a magical cloak.
Groomsman & Twin
My twin brother is actually 4 years younger than me. I owe Chase for introducing me to Heavy Metal, I was listening to classic rock when he was buying Master of Puppets. We even got to live together in Santa Clara for a short period of time (2006) before he transferred to Chico. He is also secretly a better guitarist than me, but don't tell anyone.
Groomsman & Brother
My youngest brother, of whom I share the most personality traits with, look as similar as the Twins from the Schwarzenegger/DeVito classic. Despite being my youngest sibling, his undergrad years at Berkeley allowed us to stay close over the last few year despite our 8 year age difference. Now a Marine Pilot on the East Coast, we still see each other more often than some of my friends in the Bay.
Through a series of random connections via Dan Schwaiger, Brian met me at the infamous St. John's Happy Hour back in 2007. From that day on, we've been finding new ways to make life in San Jose ridiculous. After THE BREAKUP, we became even closer than ever before. I'm proud to say I've been personally responsible for 3 of Zartan's top 5 drunkest moments.
Doug randomly invited me to a house party in San Diego they called Redneck BBQ in 2006. I took the Greyhound from San Jose to San Diego overnight. That weekend I got to meet Brian Orr and began a tradition of travelling to random parts of the world in search for a great party. We've been roommates, limo owners and sea captains together, in spite of his Canadian birth.
My most favorite of all my Intel co-workers, Slater and I became fast friends back in 2010. At work we started our own Cultural Revolution and outside we made life happen. Before tragically moving to Texas, Slater was my comrade in arms attending every Night Train show, Castle Party and Dive Karaoke night we could make. Silicon Valley doesn't need another DB programmer, but I think we can make room for this guy.
Ashton and Archie met almost 10 years ago at Karaoke Night at Dive Bar downtown San Jose. We became fast friends and massive karaoke whores (one week we managed to sing every night of the week). Our careers peaked in 2009 when we made the cover of the San Jose metro. Archie and Farran, too, became fast friends. Hitting tons of rock shows, traveling, eating and bonding over Cole Haan shoes.
Fortunately, Archie is a much better writer than a singer, and that's why he'll be our master of ceremonies.
